On Thursday, December 5, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM WIB, the Civil Law Department of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, held a webinar titled “Developments and Challenges in Family Law in Indonesia.” This event was part of a series of activities commemorating the 59th Anniversary of Universitas Trisakti.

The webinar was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, SH., M.Hum., represented by the Head of the Civil Law Department, Dr. Indra Krestianto, SH., MH. Following the opening remarks, the speakers and the moderator were presented with certificates as tokens of appreciation from the Faculty of Law, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the event.

The featured speakers were:

• Prof. Dr. Sonny Dewi Judiasih, SH., MH., CN. (Professor of Family Law at Padjajaran University)
• Dr. Drs. Panusunan Harahap, SH., MH. (Chairman of the Medan High Court)
• Dr. Rr. Aline Gratika Nugrhani, SH., MH. (Faculty of Law Academic, Universitas Trisakti)

The webinar was moderated by Dr. Khairani Bakri, SH., MH., a faculty member at Universitas Trisakti, who skillfully facilitated an engaging discussion. The event received enthusiastic participation from attendees, including students, lecturers, academics, and legal practitioners, evidenced by the numerous questions raised during the session.

This webinar aimed to provide academics, researchers, and practitioners with a deeper understanding of the developments and challenges in family law in Indonesia. It is hoped that the insights shared during this event will support efforts to address the evolving complexities of family law in the country.
