On Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Aston Kartika Grogol Hotel, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) together with the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti (FH Usakti) held a socialization event regarding immigration stay permit and citizenship policy. The socialization activity was attended by hundreds of participants, including FH Usakti students, FH Usakti alumni, Immigration Polytechnic Cadets (Poltekim), as well as lecturers from FH Usakti and Poltekim.

The event began with a speech by the Dean of FH Usakti, Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.H., who emphasized the importance of this socialization activity as it relates to one of the elements of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, particularly Community Service. It is hoped that the FH Usakti students participating in this activity can utilize the knowledge gained for academic article writing. Subsequently, a speech was delivered by the Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Silmy Karim, S.E., M.E., M.B.A., represented by Chief Immigration Analyst, Yudanus Dekiwanto, S.H., M.H., who highlighted the importance of this socialization activity due to new regulations in the field of immigration and citizenship that need to be communicated to the public. He also expressed his admiration as FH Usakti is the only faculty offering courses in Citizenship Law and Immigration Law.

The speakers for this event included the Director of Immigration Stay Permit, Drs. Heru Tjondro, M.H., who presented on the Development of Immigration in Indonesia and provided several case examples in the field of immigration. This was followed by the Vice Dean IV of FH Usakti, Dr. Tri Sulistyowati, S.H., M.Hum., who discussed Indonesian Immigration Law. The event concluded with a presentation by the Coordinator of Immigration Status Change, Tessar Bayu Setiaji, who covered the topic of Golden Visa Indonesia. The socialization activity was interactive, with participants from FH Usakti and Poltekim asking questions to the speakers regarding immigration issues.

It is hoped that this socialization activity on immigration stay permit and citizenship policy will be beneficial to the participants, especially FH Usakti students currently taking Citizenship and Immigration Law courses.
