On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the Theater Room, 6th Floor, Cooperatives and MSMEs Building, South Tangerang City, lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, conducted a Community Service Program (PkM) in the form of a Legal Outreach themed Law on Collateral. This activity was a follow-up collaboration between the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, and the South Tangerang City Government.

The event commenced with a welcome address and opening remarks by the Head of the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Bachtiar Priyambodo, S.STP, M.Si., who expressed gratitude and appreciation for the presence of Universitas Trisakti lecturers in this PkM initiative. The session also featured an exchange of souvenirs between the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, and the Department.

The legal outreach session was delivered by Dr. Elsi Kartika Sari, S.H., M.H., Dr. Sri Untari Indah Artati, S.H., M.H., and Gisca Nurannisa, S.H., LL.M., supported by Melinda, a student from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti. They presented material on general collateral laws and credit, including topics on material guarantees and mortgage rights.

The event was highly interactive and proceeded smoothly, as evidenced by numerous questions from the 52 participants, comprising department heads, staff, and members of the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs. During the final Q&A session, one participant requested the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, to assist in resolving credit disputes involving MSME entrepreneurs under the department’s mentorship.

It is hoped that this community service initiative will be beneficial to the participants and inspire the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, to continue upholding the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.
