As a follow-up to the Community Service Program (PKM) with the South Tangerang City Government, signed on June 24, 2024, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Room 3A.1.3, 3rd Floor, Building I, at the South Tangerang City Government Center. This event was also part of the celebration of Universitas Trisakti’s 59th anniversary.

The main topic of the FGD was the formulation of regulations at the city level concerning the protection and security of cultural heritage objects, particularly in the event of armed conflict. The discussion also focused on the roles of the government, society, the academic community, business and industry sectors, and the media in cultural heritage preservation during crises.

PKM partners included representatives from several South Tangerang City Government departments related to Cultural Heritage, such as the Department of Education and Culture, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, the Tourism Destinations and Industry Division, the History and Tradition Section, the Arts Section, and the Cultural Heritage and Museum PPTK. The South Tangerang City Government team was led by Mr. Muslim Nur, S.Pd., Secretary of the Department of Culture; Ms. Yana Rodiana, S.T., Head of the Culture Division at the Department of Education and Culture; and Ms. Dhian Puspasari, S.I.P., M.I.P., Head of the History and Tradition Section of South Tangerang City.

The PKM team from the Faculty of Law included Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. Sugeng Supartono, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. Arlina Permanasari, S.H., M.Hum., and Alizanoor Septianingsih, an active law student with Student ID 010002100033.

The discussion was aimed at preparing regulatory frameworks to safeguard cultural heritage during armed conflicts and identifying the responsibilities of various stakeholders in this critical area.
