On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, a delegation from the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti visited the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, to gain insights on various legal issues faced by Indonesian citizens in Turkey. This visit was part of one of the university’s three main missions, Community Service, under the theme “State Responsibility for the Diaspora and Indonesian Citizens in Turkey: Jurisdiction in the International Sphere.” The delegation included Vice Dean IV, Dr. Tri Sulistyowati, S.H., M.Hum, Dr. Sri Untari Indah Artati, S.H., M.H., Dr. Arlina Permanasari, S.H., M.Hum, Dr. Bambang Sucondro, S.H., M.H., Dr. Ayu Nrangwesti, S.H., M.H., Dr. Intan Nevia Cahyana, S.H., M.H., as well as Dina Fitriana, S.T., M.M., Ahmad Saefudin, S.Kom, and several administrative staff members. They were welcomed by Ms. Rahmawati Alih, the Counsellor, alongside Dian Ardhini Hapsari and Mayra Safira.

During the 90-minute discussion, many legal issues concerning Indonesian citizens in Turkey—such as students, workers, and those married to Turkish nationals—were identified. The information gathered will be used for faculty research and international-scale community service projects. The delegation also explored potential collaborations with leading Turkish universities in activities such as collaborative research, joint publications, faculty exchanges, and other academic programs. Additionally, to attract foreign nationals to pursue postgraduate studies in the Master of Law and Doctoral Law programs, the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, with support from the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, promoted various learning programs, including scholarships for foreign nationals who wish to study at the Faculty of Law.

The delegation expressed their gratitude to His Excellency the Ambassador of Indonesia in Ankara and all embassy staff.
