Egi Nugraha (Student ID: 010002200149), a student of Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Law (FH Usakti), proudly secured second place in an essay competition on the topics of Journalism Practice, Press Freedom, and Broadcasting Law Revision. This competition, held by BPPM Mahkamah at Gadjah Mada University’s Faculty of Law (FH UGM) in Yogyakarta from November 8-10, 2024, included entries in the General or University Student Category.
The competition, organized by BPPM Mahkamah FH UGM, focused on the theme, “Highlighting the Revision of the Broadcasting Law: The Threat to Journalism Practices and Press Freedom.” The General or University Student Category saw participation from 40 entrants, including students from numerous prestigious public and private universities.
Egi Nugraha’s essay, titled “Implementing the Community Guideline Intervention System (CGIS) in the Broadcasting Bill to Prevent Negative Content and Enhance Journalism Quality in Indonesia,” was written under the mentorship of Dr. Rahmat Santoso, SH., MHum, Assistant Vice Dean III of FH Usakti.
The winners in the General or University Student Category of the Essay Competition were as follows:
Egi Nugraha, an outstanding talent at FH Usakti, has won numerous awards in national essay competitions and student debate contests. His achievements contribute significantly to FH Usakti’s Key Performance Indicators for Student Development, which are vital for accreditation, ranking, and certification evaluations.
Due to his accomplishments, Egi Nugraha has been selected by FH Usakti’s Bachelor of Law Program to receive financial support to participate in the upcoming international KUMITT event, managed by Trisakti University’s Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM).
Congratulations to Egi Nugraha! May he continue to create inspiring works and achievements that motivate his fellow students to contribute to the honor of the beloved alma mater, Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Law.
