The Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Faculty of Law, Syah Kuala University, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, held at Meeting Room 2nd Floor, Building H, Universitas Trisakti. The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.H., and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Syah Kuala University, Dr. M. Gaussyah, S.H., M.H., as well as vice deans and heads/coordinators of Bachelor of Law (SIH), Master of Law (MIH), and Doctor of Law (DIH) programs from both sides.

In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, conveyed that the memorandum of understanding agreed upon several scopes of cooperation, including in the field of education, particularly the exchange of dissertation examiners involving external examiners, and in the field of research, especially in journal management which may involve the exchange of lecturers from each side as reviewers for journals managed by each side. Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, stated that in addition to the inter-faculty agreement, there was also the signing of an implementation agreement between programs, both between SIH programs, MIH programs, and DIH programs of each faculty.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Syah Kuala University, in his speech, expressed hope that this memorandum of understanding could be implemented as soon as possible. He also hoped that as the implementation of the memorandum of understanding progressed, any necessary additions could be adjusted according to the needs of inter-faculty cooperation.

The inter-faculty memorandum of understanding was signed by each Dean, while the implementation agreement was signed by each Program Head, including SIH Program Head, MIH Program Head, and DIH Program Head from each side.

It is hoped that the memorandum of understanding signed between the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, and the Faculty of Law, Syah Kuala University, can proceed smoothly, thus providing benefits in maximizing the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, namely Education, Research, and Community Service.
