The Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, together with seven other faculties, has obtained 66 Patent Certificates from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. This number is expected to increase with around 30 more Patent Certificates currently in process. On this occasion, the Faculty of Law participated by contributing the legal aspects to an invention titled “Euclidean Distance Method with Inner Product Weighting for Digital Handwriting Detection.” This invention was conceived by Drs. Syaifudin, MSi., Ph.D., Dian Pratiwi ST., MTI., and Dr. Drs. Trubus Rahardiansah, M.S., S.H., M.H., who collaborated from the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti.

Representing the Dean of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum, was the Acting Daily Executive of the Faculty Research Council, Dr. Arlina Permanasari, S.H., M.Hum. In a separate statement, the Dean expressed that members of the academic community from the Faculty of Social Humanities, including the Faculty of Law, can also contribute by collaborating with other faculties to conceive additional inventions, strengthening the legal aspects in every related innovation.
