OTF Mock Trial Organizes Trisakti International Law Moot Court Competition (TRISIL Moot Court Competition) 2024

TRISIL is an event organized by OTF Mock Trial to create successful graduates from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, and to compete in international law competitions. The participants of TRISIL are students from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti. This year, there are a total of 9 teams, each consisting of 2 members from the 2022-2023 cohorts. Each team is accompanied by a mentor who guides the participants in preparing case files and practicing arguments in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

TRISIL is held over three days from Friday, June 28, 2024, to Sunday, June 30, 2024. There are four rounds in TRISIL 2024: Preliminary round, Semi-final round, Deciding for 3rd place round, and Final round. The event was opened by the leaders of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, Dr. H. Aji Wibowo, SH., MH (Vice Dean III for Student Affairs) and Dr. Rahmat Santoso, SH., MH (Assistant Vice Dean III).

The judges include faculty members and alumni with experience in international law, such as Dr. H. Aji Wibowo, S.H., M.H; Dr. Arlina Permanasari, S.H., M.Hum; Amalia Zuhra, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D; and Wildani Angkasari, S.H., LL.M, all members of the Center for Humanitarian and Human Rights Law Studies (terAs), Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti. Other faculty members and students involved include Abdurrachman Satrio, S.H., LL.M. and Muhammad Falih Nasywaan Surya. External judges include Bernhard Ruben Fritz Sumigar, S.H., LL.M. (Kredivo Group); Maryzka Tiara Hardy, S.H. (Fitrisyah Winata & Partners); Ribka Siahaan, S.H. (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia); Tsa Tsa Crysta Purba, S.H., M.H. (PT Kaltim Global); and Muhammad Firdaus Alamsyah, S.H. (Am Badar & Am Badar – Intellectual Property Law Firm Since 1965).

The organizing committee for TRISIL Moot Court Competition 2024 consists of Law Faculty students from the 2021-2023 cohorts, including Nadia Angelica Hidayat (Chairperson); Nadila Ariella Taufik (Publications and Documentation); and Melza Ayu Salma (Mooting Division). The mentors, who assist participants in preparing case files and practicing arguments, include Angel June Anabelle; Emanuella Marcellina; Michelle Silsa; Nariman; and Ayub Christo Carens Patioran. The TRISIL Moot Court Competition 2024 produced top candidates, including Best Applicant Memorial, Best Respondent Memorial, and Best Combined Memorials awarded to Team 118. In the preliminary round, the third best oralist was Egi Nugraha, the second best oralist was Rafy Khairy, and the first best oralist was Intan Zafirah. An additional award by the judges, Top Oralist in the Final Round, was also given to Egi Nugraha. The 3rd place winner was Team 112, the 2nd place winner was Team 113, and the 1st place winner was Team 116.
