The Chairperson of the Indonesian Notary Association, West Jakarta Branch, from 2016 to the present, Ira Sudjono, successfully earned a Doctorate in Law with honors (Cum Laude) in the Doctoral Program in Law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Her dissertation was titled “Reconstruction of Regulations on the Submission of Protocols for Wills by Retired Notaries Without Protocol Holders for Legal Protection of the Public.”

The Doctoral Promotion Examination was led by Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Law, Trisakti University, with the examination committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Aloysius Uwiyono, S.H., M.H., as the Promoter; Dr. Endang Pandamdari, S.H., C.N., M.H., as the Co-Promoter; Prof. Dr. Elfrida Ratnawati, S.H., M.Hum., M.Kn; Prof. Dr. Jur Udin Silalahi, S.H., LL.M; Dr. Irene Eka Sihombing, S.H., CN., M.H.; and Dr. Simona Bustani, S.H., M.H.

Among the invited guests present at the Doctoral Promotion Examination were Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Drs. Heru Budi Hartono, M.M.; Acting Governor of NTT, Ayodhia Gehak Lakunamang Kalake, S.H., M.D.C.; Special Staff of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Anto Mukti Putranto, S.Sos.; Special Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment in the Field of Communication, Ezki Suyanto; and Head of the Division of Legal Services and Human Rights at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for DKI Jakarta, Zulhairi, S.H., M.H.

At the end of the examination, Ira Sudjono also distributed a popular scientific book derived from her dissertation, titled “Notary Protocol: Issues of Retired Notary Protocols Without Protocol Holders Related to Wills.”
