In the framework of implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti organized a Practitioner Teaching activity for the Constitutional Law course. For the needs of this course, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, according to the class schedule, a joint teaching activity with practitioners was held by inviting the Chairman of the Regional Legislative Affairs Committee (BULD) of the DPD RI, Ir Stefanus BAN Liow, MAP. This activity was organized as part of the Practitioner Teaching program, to provide practical experience to students in several courses.

On that occasion, Mr. Stefa, as he is commonly called, delivered a lecture on state institutions, particularly the material on the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI). In his presentation, he explained about the membership filling of the DPD, the DPD’s completeness tools, tasks and authorities of the DPD, and what was interesting was sharing his experiences as a member of the DPD RI, including his experience as the Chairman of the BULD DPD RI. The practical experience conveyed in this lecture drew the attention of more than 100 students attending the class, who enthusiastically expressed their responses with critical questions.

Thank you to Ir Stefanus BAN Liow, MAP for taking the time and sharing his knowledge at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti. Hopefully, with the presence of lectures from practitioners, it can enrich students’ knowledge and understanding of state institutions.
