On Monday, January 22, 2024, the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Law Faculty Universitas Trisakti and the Law School of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea, took place at the Prof E. Suherman Auditorium, 2nd Floor of Building H, Universitas Trisakti.

The event began with a speech from the Dean of the Law Faculty at Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum. Dean Nurbaiti expressed in her address that the collaboration would extend for the next 5 years, covering activities such as student exchanges at all levels, faculty exchanges, collaborative research, exchange of teaching materials, and community service initiatives.

Representatives from the Law School of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Prof. Byun Haecheol and Prof. Im Youngho, also conveyed that the signing of this cooperation marks the beginning of a broader partnership. This activity serves as the starting point for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, with the hope that the collaboration will continue. The event proceeded with the signing of the Agreement for Academic Exchange and Cooperation, followed by a discussion and Q&A session between the leaders of the Law Faculty at Universitas Trisakti and the representatives of the Law School of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The leadership team from the Law Faculty at Universitas Trisakti present at the signing event included Vice Dean I, Dr. Hj. Wahyuni Retnowulandari, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean IV, Dr. Tri Sulistyowati, S.H., M.Hum, Head of the Doctoral Program in Law (DIH), Dr. Endang Pandamdari, S.H., C.N., M.H., Head of the Master’s Program in Law (MIH), Dr. Dhany Rahmawan, S.H., M.Hum., and Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Law (SIH), Maya Indrasti Notoprayitno, S.H., M.Si. Ph.D., along with all the secretaries of DIH, MIH, and SIH programs, the Head of JMF, Acting Head of DRPMH, Heads of Study Centers, Department Heads, and Head of the Administrative Office. The event was also attended by the Director of KUIKK Universitas Trisakti, Ir. Agus Guntoro, M.Si., Ph.D, Head of the International Affairs Center at KUIKK, Amalia Zuhra, S.H., LL.M, Ph.D., and Head of the Cultural Center at KUIKK, Dra. Agustin R. Lakawa, M.S., Ph.D.

In addition to the signing of the Agreement for Academic Exchange and Cooperation, the Law Faculty Universitas Trisakti, along with the International Affairs, Cooperation, and Culture Office (KUIKK) of Universitas Trisakti and the Law School of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, also discussed the potential establishment of a Korean Law and Culture Study Center at Universitas Trisakti.

It is hoped that this cooperation agreement will be mutually beneficial for both parties, especially in terms of knowledge and cultural exchange, and will strengthen academic relations on the international stage.
