Dr. Dinda Keumala, a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti (FH USAKTI), attended an invitation as a speaker to deliver a public lecture in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Class of the Master’s program at the Faculty of Law, UiTM, Shah Alam, Malaysia. The lecture, titled “An Overview of LAPS SJK in Indonesia,” took place on January 17, 2024, from 08:30 to 10:30 Malaysian time, conducted online.

The public lecture was attended by 18 students from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Kenya. During the lecture, Dr. Dinda Keumala presented material on the history of the establishment of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institution for the Financial Services Sector (LAPS SJK), the legal basis of LAPS SJK, the duties and authorities of LAPS SJK, the organization of LAPS SJK, criteria for disputes that can be handled by LAPS SJK, dispute resolution models within LAPS SJK, and the procedures for dispute resolution through LAPS SJK.

It is hoped that the collaborative activity with Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia, will be beneficial to the participants, particularly in understanding alternative dispute resolution institutions. Additionally, it is anticipated that this collaboration will foster continuous cooperation and enhance the performance achievements of both institutions.
